Kiduna surfaces read as crafted objects — cloisonné enamel set in metal, mounted on dark wood, hinged like an instrument case. This card names the materials, anchors each to hex values (for CSS gradients and grading), and gives the prompt phrase to use in generated media. Hierarchy is fixed: gold is the voice, brass and copper are the chorus, silver appears only where the moon does. Wood and umber are ground; glass is the one transparent thing in the system.
Primary metal. Rims, bezels, emphasis, the sun. Prompt: “muted matte gold, thin gold rim lines, warm golden-hour sheen.”
Working metal. Hardware, fittings, instrument details — gold’s humbler sibling. Prompt: “aged brass fittings, softly burnished, no polish.”
Warm accent metal. Connectors, inlay threads, dusk tones. Prompt: “hand-rubbed copper with faint tea-brown patina.”
Moon metal — rationed. Only for lunar motifs, stars, and night details; never rims or type. Prompt: “cool moonlit silver, matte, used sparingly.”
One warm metal leads per composition. Silver may share a frame with gold only as moon-against-sun; brass and copper never both carry a surface.
Overlays and vitrine panes. In CSS: cream-tinted translucency + 1px gold rim, never gray. Prompt: “thin hand-blown glass pane, faint cream reflections.”
Luminous accent transparency — live signals, the “pulse.” Best where light should pool. Prompt: “a single pane of luminous teal stained glass.”
Scrims that hold type over art. Always umber-smoked, never neutral black. Prompt: “smoked umber glass, deep and warm.”
Domed gem dots — status lights, map markers. Radial highlight top-left, gold bezel. Prompt: “small domed glass cabochon set in a gold bezel.”
House wood. Panels, frames, the default mount. Prompt: “oiled walnut, straight tight grain, satin finish.”
Ground wood. Nearly reads as the espresso ground itself; use where wood must recede. Prompt: “near-black ebony, grain barely visible.”
Light wood. Warm honey tone for lighter surfaces and edges; pairs with camel. Prompt: “honey oak, open flecked grain, waxed.”
Accent wood. Reddish warmth for special editions and ceremony surfaces. Prompt: “aged cherry, deep auburn, hand-rubbed.”
Wood grain in CSS is a repeating-linear-gradient at 92–96° — subtle, 3-tone, never a photo texture. In prompts, wood is always solid, oiled or waxed, never glossy lacquer.
Brass barrel hinge — the motif for anything that opens: accordions, drawers, reveals. Knuckle sits proud of the leaves. Prompt: “small brass piano hinge, visible knuckle.”
Copper dome rivets pin panels and mark list joints — in pairs or fours, never scattered. Prompt: “hand-set copper rivets, domed heads.”
Interlocked brass rings — the connector mark for allies, joins, and relations (chains, chart edges, “linked” states). Prompt: “two interlocked brass rings.”
Gold diamond clasp — closures, seals, confirmations. One per surface, at the seam. Prompt: “a single gold case clasp, diamond-shaped.”
Hardware is functional ornament: it appears where the UI actually pivots, joins, or closes — never as decoration on a static panel.
Default. Flat jewel color in gold-rimmed cells over umber gaps. Prompt: “matte cloisonné enamel.” Never “glossy” or “ceramic shine.”
Soft directional sheen on metals — one broad highlight, no starbursts. CSS: a single 135° gradient stop. Prompt: “softly burnished.”
Age on brass/copper: tea-brown deepening at edges (#78421F, #7A5A18). No green verdigris — it fights the palette.
Shallow facet texture for large metal fields so they don’t read flat. Prompt: “lightly hammered surface.” Use rarely, backgrounds only.
The only wood finishes. Satin depth, grain visible, zero mirror reflection.
Chrome, mirror polish, iridescence, brushed-aluminum, rose-gold gradients, wet-look gloss, clear-coat lacquer, neon rim light.
MATERIAL SUFFIX — materials: matte cloisonné enamel with fine gold rims, aged brass and hand-rubbed copper hardware, oiled walnut mounts, luminous teal glass where light should pool; everything matte or softly burnished, warm golden-hour light. NEVER: chrome, mirror polish, gloss, verdigris, brushed aluminum. Append after the house STYLE block when a prompt renders physical objects.
